Some time in the 1930s or 1940s a new street-front facade was added to the old Victorian era post office at Walgett. This modest Art Deco facade has some Inter-War Free Classical Style characteristics. The current joinery colours leave a bit to be desired.

Our Society (Art Deco & Modernism Society) is working with the Albury Museum and Art Gallery to present an exhibition on Art Deco next June.
